Character types

Crime dramas have may diffrent charcters types like Heros, heroines, Anti-heros , quirky detectives, bad-temperd detectives, rookies, buddy partners, grumpy superior officers, forensic scientists and pshychology experts. These roles realy on a symbiotic relationship where without the villian there is no crime with no crime there is no vitim without a victim there is no cop.

Heros

Theses characters only objective is to solve the crime and to restore peace, they usally stay on the right side of the law. This is Jack Bauer from 24 he sometimes sways to the wrong side of the law to get intel that could potentually save lifes. He is a realist he says the quote "I see fifteen people held hostage on a bus, and everything else goes out the window. I will do whatever it takes to save them, and I mean whatever it takes. ... Laws were written by much smarter men than me. And in the end, these laws have to be more important than the 15 people on the bus. I know that's right. In my mind, I know that's right. I just don't think my heart could ever have lived with it." this is how he sees torture as okay.

Dexter works for the forensic sciensts where he helps catch murders through the uses of his murderers mind. Even though he means good he still is a criminal, in his spear time he partisipates in the lovely passtime of murdering other murders. He abuses his power in the police by acsessing the murders that got away from the justice system.
