Laboratory scene

 The protagonist usually looks through a microscope or dusts an item for prints. It gives the viewer the impression that the user of the equipment is well educated it helps to develop the character also it could find evidence that could add extra suspects or could remove them. The most iconic items for a laboratory would be a microscope, test tube mixer. Language used would include fingerprints, DNA, fibre, hair.
